Ernest Hemingway wrote a short story called "A Clean, Well-Lighted Place" in 1933. For my assignment i tell about My Clean, Well-Lighted Place, and I also relate the story to my own safe haven.
My "Clean, Well-Lighted Place", is my bedroom. It is my safe haven. A place where i can go and be completely myself. I am normally alone so when i go into my room i can shut the door and totally relax without having to worry about people or problems. I chose my room because its something I can totally call mine and it is familiar to me, I am used to the air in space in it.
Toward the end of the short story "A Clean, Well-Lighted Place" the author wrote: "It was the light of course, but it is necessary that the place be clean and pleasant." I relate to this because my room is a pleasant place to be and I like things neat and tidy, in its place.
